As I am sure many of you are aware, the country is experiencing another increase in reported COVID cases. We have just learned that one of our residents and one of our staff members have recently tested positive for COVID. Currently, the resident is receiving care outside of the facility, and the staff member is quarantining at home.
We wanted to let you know that we have now tested all staff and residents again on the 28th. Staff and residents have tested negative for COVID. The Community will move forward by performing in-house testing of 25% of residents and staff on a weekly basis until the current surge in California has receded in our county.
As promised, we want to continue to provide you updates on Santa Maria Terrace. In our previous update, we indicated that we had our first employee test positive for the COVID-19 virus. We have learned that two more staff members and 3 residents tested positive for the virus.
